oh yes, yes i did! i gve 8th graders plastic, non-edged scissors to do a collage project with. wanna know why? ...as if anyone who has ever taught middle school didn't know...ya, they were acting like little boogerbrains w/the regular scissors. sometimes i have no classroom control of that period. well, not none, just very little. my personal relationships with students are starting to develop well, it's the group as a whole that is causing me problems. i do love them tho. i need to tell them. i need to let them know that i value their presence. i don't think they get enough of that in life in general.
