i'm officially a language arts teacher...

ok, i've always been someone who reads tons with a knack for grammar and syntax and was even voted "most likely to be an editor"(tf??? was that about?) in the sixth grade. however, i have a social studies credential and lovelovelovelovelove! teaching history. i teach lang arts b/c i have to. however, the la teacher part of me is starting to leak out. like right now, i could kill ritz crackers and rachel ray for her latest ad "a little chopped olives" maybe "a little bit of" or "some chopped olives". and the other night when we were at dinner, according to the order of the adjectives in front of ravioli, the ravioli were stuffed into the portobello mushrooms, instead of the other way round. i wasn't like this before. i truly wasn't. but ever since i have had to teach explicit grammar instruction, this has been happening...ack!!! and before anyone give me crap about how i type my blog---it's a friggin' blog!!! yes, i know when i am cutting corners. i feel like it is the difference between spoken and written english.
