i gave a kid detention
which in and of itself is nothing. i got kids that just need that extra "ugh, i have to stay after school" motivation to handle their business and i have the kids who need the one-on-one and don't know it. what was special about this kid was that i didn't even know him! he is a friend of one of my students and was teasing bobby about detention, so then i said "why don't you join him?" told him when and where and the kid showed up! it was hilarious!
